UNDER 14s PLAYERS WANTED

Our U`14s side that play in the Premier Division of the Central Lancs JFL are on the look out for new players.

Experience is a must as the Premier Division is one of the strongest in the North West.

A Centre Forward is a priority, but we are willing to trial players for other positions.

We currently train on a Thursday evening at Aspull Moor between 6-7 p.m.

If you are interested please contact Nigel Lee, Team Manager on 01204 460722.

1st WEEKND OF SEASON

Saturday

The first Saturday of the Season for teams in the Bolton, Bury & District Football League saw encouraging perfomances from the Aspull teams.

The U`9s Dynamos won 4-0 against Astley & Tyldsley, while our 9v9 U`11s Sky won 3-2 away at Elton & Walshaw.

Our U`16s Bombers had a convincing 6-1 home victory over Horwich St. Mary`s. Unfortunatley due to the non appearance of the referee our U`15s League game was played as friendly, with the Cannels winning 1-0.

Our new U`7s, the Lions also played in their first game. Due to the FA rules on U`7 and U`8 matches we are not allowed to publish the score.

In the Mid Lancs Colts the U`8s Pirates played Charnock Richard at Penwortham Holme.

Making their debut in the West Lancs Girls League our U`11 Canarinhas enjoyed a winning start with a 3-1 home win over Birkdale.

Sunday

All of our teams were in action on Sunday, with the Central Lancs having the lions share of matches.

In their first 11 a side game our U`12s City turned on the style in beating Ribbleton 9-1.

In the Premier Division our U`13s recorded their first win of the season with a 4-3 win over Tarleton Corinthians. In the 1st Division the U`13s Greens travelled to Croston, but are still finding their feet at 11 aside, with a 5-2 defeat.

A tough start for the U`14s, with a 6-2 defeat away at Penwortham St. Teresas in the Premier Division.

A new look U`16s remain unbeaten after a excellent 2-1 away win at Poulton Town.

In the Mid Lancs Colts, our U`10s Town match v Cadley FC was postponed.

Both of our Open Age teams continue to impress in the South Lancs Counties. The 1st team winning 4-0 over North Star, whilst the Reserves maintained their 100% winning start with a 4-2 victory over AFC Wigan Reserves.
