CHAIRMAN CONCEDES 3!
Our Club Chairman was forced into Goalkeeping action on Thursday night for our Open Age 1st Team.
The team recorded their second straight win with a 5-3 win at Caledonia in the South Lancs Premier Division.
"Eye witnesses" report that Manny had no chance with a direct free kick and 2 penalties!!
CENTRAL LANCS KICK OFF
The Surridge Sports Central Lancs JFL started their season on Thursday night.
Playing their first competitive game at 11 a side, our U`13s Greens put in very encouraging performance against Bamber Bridge. Plenty of positives for the team although they were defeated 5-4.
In the Premier Division, our U`13s faced reigning Champions Ladybridge and went down to a 4-1 defeat.
Our U`16s team, fought out a 1-1 draw with Penwortham Town. After taking an early lead, the Cannels let the visitors come back into the game. But it wasn`t until 8 minutes from time that Town got the equaliser.
GIRLS TEAMS JOIN NEW LEAGUES
Our 3 Girls teams will be playing new opposition this season.
The Canaries, Lionesses and the Canarinhas have all moved to new Leagues for the 2010/11 Season.
The Canaries and Lionesses will be playing in the Bolton, Bury & District FL at Under 10 Age group.
The U`11 Canarinhas will playing in the West Lancs Girls League.
